Quanta Research Institute is strategically positioned within the Quanta Group in technology and product research to identify and accelerate next-generation technologies that can be rapidly and tightly integrated into the product development chain of all business units. To ensure worldwide leadership status through technology innovation and forward-looking corporate culture, QRI collaborates with leading institutions around the globe in numerous cutting-edge research fields. Quanta Research Cambridge grew out of Quanta’s $200M project with MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), as a way to broaden the partnership through a local presence. QRC was launched in 2009 and is pursuing a strategy of cutting edge research with a team of leading researchers.

The Quanta R&D Complex, inaugurated in 2005, is a symbol of Quanta's long-term deep-rooted investment in Taiwan. QRDC is an “intelligent” building, featuring R&D, humanity and art, education and leisure. It includes laboratories, an art performance hall (in planning), and a museum. It is Quanta's goal, through QRDC, to harmonize humanity and technology.
